DCOM, Disney Channel Original Movies, are movies the Disney Channel puts out yearly. There are usually about three or more movies each year. Plots range from families dealing with the mentally disabled, teens becoming sports athletes, and even what it was like for people living around the events of 9/11. Although the Disney Channel has been producing their own movies since the early 1980's, they were not named Disney Channel Original Movies until 1997. This site picks up there.
